Faith that Speaks— Anytime, Anywhere

It is impossible to fully grasp the depths of what transpired in the Judean wilderness during Satan's three-fold temptation of Jesus Christ. Thankfully, in those temptations we as Christians find hope in two senses: Jesus successfully overcame every temptation, and He has shown believers how to overcome temptation as well. In other words, Jesus Christ has given us a pattern for dealing with temptations by giving us the necessary actions to overcome them. The Gospel of Luke records a quiet, simplistic account of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christians often need to be reminded that the Lord Jesus Christ is still reigning on His throne. Furthermore, believers must cling to the reality that Christ has not abandoned His people or His promises. In the book of Revelation, the apostle John is given a unique vision that captures this fundamental reality. It is not a vision of our Lord as He appeared on the earth in His humiliation.
