A Day in the Life of Jesus
In a world where countless voices compete for our attention and everyone claims to be an authority, how do we recognize true authority when we encounter it? As we study a portion of the Gospel of Mark, we'll step into a remarkable day in the life of Jesus Christ. But what set Jesus apart from the other religious leaders of His day? It wasn't merely what He taught but the unmistakable authority with which He taught it. Join Tom Pennington from the Gospel of Mark as he helps us understand A Day in the Life of Jesus.

All the World's a Stage
The ideas that shape our culture are often far older than we realize. From the ancient philosopher Protagoras' declaration that "man is the measure of all things" to today's widespread belief that life is ultimately about personal fulfillment, the influence of human-centered thinking remains powerful. Yet Scripture presents a radically different perspective: we are not the center of the universe—God is. Join Tom Pennington as he explores Ephesians 2 to help us see that in God's plan of redemption, All the World's a Stage.

War and Peace: Learning to Deal with Conflict
Historians tell us that out of thousands of years of recorded history, humanity has experienced only a few centuries of peace—and the Bible reveals why: the deepest wars are not merely fought between nations but within the human heart of every person. Today, as we begin exploring James 4, Pastor Tom helps us discover that the source of our quarrels, arguments, and broken relationships is far closer than we often realize. Rather than pointing the finger at others, the Bible challenges us to examine ourselves and uncover the sinful desires that fuel conflict in every area of life. Join Tom Pennington from James 4 as we consider the theme of War and Peace: Learning to Deal with Conflict.

For His Eyes Only: Giving to the Glory of God
In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus addresses the three great pillars of Jewish piety: giving, praying, and fasting. But He begins with a staggering warning against the sin of hypocrisy—practicing our righteousness before men to be noticed by them. Our Lord teaches that those who perform for the applause of the crowd have no reward from their Father in heaven. Join Tom Pennington as he considers the Sermon on the Mount and a Christian perspective on giving—For His Eyes Only: Giving to the Glory of God.

A Friend of Sinners
The New Testament teaches that Jesus Christ came into the world on a divine rescue mission—to save sinners from their sins. That message is powerfully pictured in Mark chapters 2 as Jesus interacts with several “sinners and tax collectors.” At the heart of Jesus’ ministry was a desire to preach the good news of the gospel—that He came not to save the righteous, those who believed they were inherently good and didn’t need be saved, but those who recognized their poor and miserable spiritual condition. Join Tom Pennington from Mark 2 as he explains how Jesus is A Friend of Sinners.

The Parable of the Two Builders
At the end of His most famous sermon, the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus confronts those who profess to be His followers and provides them with an illustration to determine their true spiritual condition: Is their professing Christian life built on a faulty foundation that will be swept away, or is their spiritual life built on a solid foundation that will stand the test of time? From Matthew chapter 7, Tom Pennington helps us as Christians understand The Parable of the Two Builders.

The Millennium: Christ's Future Reign on Earth
The one passage out of the entire Bible that most divides faithful, Bible-believing Christians is Revelation 20, particularly the verses that refer to the Millennial Kingdom. All Christians agree that the future new heaven and earth await all true Christians. But how are we supposed to understand the 1,000-year period that is described beforehand? In this series, Pastor Tom Pennington provides a biblical explanation of The Millennium: Christ's Future Reign on Earth.

Sin Is Not Your Master
According to the apostle Paul in Romans 6, every Christian—without exception—has a new relationship to sin. And this new relationship is one that is characterized by a radical change summarized this way: We, as Christians, are no longer slaves to sin—but slaves of Christ. Because we have repented and believed in Christ, sin is no longer our master, but the Lord Jesus Christ. Join Tom Pennington as he explains from Romans 6 that Sin Is Not Your master.

Eden's Promise
Many Christians today don’t appreciate the beauty of the Old Testament, not only in its story but also in its theological realities. The Old Testament is filled with passages that teach about the gospel and how God would send a redeemer into the world to save people from their sins. Genesis 3 records the first time this crucial truth is found in Scripture. God promises to crush the head of the serpent and to rescue people from sin and eternal condemnation. Join Tom Pennington as he explains from Genesis 3 the first gospel presentation and an essential truth every Christian must embrace: Eden's Promise.

Real Christians and Deep Fakes
Are you able to tell the difference between true Christianity as revealed in the Bible and the false forms of Christianity that are common in our world today. In 1 John 5, the apostle John makes clear distinctions between the true authentic faith of the Bible and that which contradicts. In the final paragraph of his first letter, he gives several key insights into what the true gospel is and what the Christians who have believed in the gospel are like. Join Tom Pennington as he explains from 1 John 5 the difference between Real Christians and Deep Fakes.
