Israel's Future Salvation
What is God’s future plan of salvation for the nation of Israel, specifically those who are descendants of Abraham? Does God intend for them to continue to be hardened in their sin? Or, will He bring them to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Jesus’ Legal Right to Messiah’s Throne
Who do you say Jesus Christ is? What do you believe about His person and work? The four gospels show us the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth—the God-Man who lived in Israel during the first century. Pastor Tom begins a new series exploring the Gospel of Matthew, which uniquely presents Jesus as the coming Messiah and King of the world. Unlike the other gospels, Matthew opens with Jesus' genealogy which provides several crucial truths about Jesus Christ. Join Tom Pennington has he explains from the gospel of Matthew Jesus' Legal Right to Messiah's Throne.
Israel's Current Spiritual Condition
Will God ever abandon or forsake His people? This question often arises as it relates to God’s chosen people in the Old Testament, specifically the nation of Israel. In Romans eleven, the apostle Paul addresses this directly, with remarkable clarity. Pastor Tom guides us through Paul’s teaching, explaining that although a majority of Jewish people have rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah, God’s faithfulness endures. There’s a divine promise that points to a future moment of repentance where they turn to Him. Join Tom Pennington as he explains from Romans eleven Israel’s True Spiritual Condition.

Contentment: The Lost Virtue
Would you describe yourself as a content person, no matter the circumstances? Today, the issue of contentment seems to be a lost virtue not only in the unbelieving world but, sadly, even in the professing Christian church. In Philippians chapter 4, the apostle deals with the issue of contentment to strengthen his own heart—but also to minister to those who were members of the church of Philippi. And Paul’s words to that first-century church are just as powerful and meaningful to us as Christians today. Join Tom Pennington has he explains from Philippians 4 why all Christians need to understand Contentment: The Lost Virtue.

What Your View of Scripture Says About You
In His greatest sermon, Jesus explained to His disciples His own exalted view of Scripture. Then He demanded that every one of His true followers hold the same view. If Jesus Christ is the ultimate authority in heaven and on earth, and if He is your Lord, it is imperative that you think about and respond to the Word of God exactly as He did. What Jesus believed and taught about Scripture must shape the faith and practice of every true Christian. Join Tom Pennington as He describes What Your View of Scripture Says About You.

The Biblical View of Abortion
Abortion is one of the most, if not the most, debated issue in our culture today. Its divisive nature is apparent in politics and among families and friends. Sadly, there is even debate and disagreement amongst Christians and local churches about whether abortion is morally right or wrong—whether it is a sin or not. Now, more than ever, Christians need to be equipped with the word of God in order to respond biblically to the issue. It is incumbent upon God's people to understand the times, and to respond biblically for the glory of God. Join Tom Pennington as he surveys the Scripture to give The Biblical View of Abortion.

Your Day in Court
Romans 3 provides the apostle Paul's clearest teaching on the depravity of mankind. Because of their sin, all humanity stands guilty before the God of the universe. Such a legal status before God has serious implications for every person on this planet, especially for those who have not repented of their sin and believed upon Jesus Christ. In Romans 3:19–20 Paul reveals what God will say to every unbeliever on the future day of judgment. Join Tom Pennington as he explains what awaits every unbeliever as they stand before God: Your Day in Court.

Wolves in Shepherd's Clothing
False teachers are a major threat to professing Christians and the local church. Because their teachings are mixed with both truth and error it can often be difficult to discern between the biblical teachers and the false ones. At the end of the book of Romans the apostle Paul gives several insights about false teachers and their doctrine. Not only was exposing such teachers an important part of Paul's ministry, our Lord Jesus Christ made it a priority as well. Join Tom Pennington as he explains how to identify false teachers in the church, who are also known as Wolves in Shepherd's Clothing.

Tradition!
In the first century a major difference existed between the teachings of Jesus and the religious leaders of the day. Jesus' teaching was rooted in the very words of God from the Old Testament, and His objective was to preach the kingdom of God to sinners and to call them to repentance and faith in Himself. However, the scribes and Pharisees, although they affirmed the Old Testament, had elevated tradition and their rules as means of salvation. In the Gospel of Mark Jesus exposes their legalism and calls them to true repentance. Join Tom Pennington has he explains the danger of legalism and Tradition!

An Eye for an Eye
Who are the people or the group of people that have most hurt you in your life? Who are the people who have hurt you in such a way that you still bear the wounds and the scars of those hurts? We are all tempted to harbor a grudge against people who have hurt us. Perhaps there are some who are even tempted to contemplate some form of revenge. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches that Christians must relinquish any supposed right to personal retaliation—grudges and revenge have no place in His spiritual kingdom. Join Tom Pennington as he explains the true meaning behind the famous line: An Eye for an Eye.
