The book of James is written to encourage and help Christians to understand and embrace the true Christian faith and reject that which is a counterfeit faith. In other words, James wants professing believers to understand whether they’ve embraced true saving faith or non-saving deadly faith. And true faith, according to James, always produces a life that is marked by obedience to God and His Word and a love for Jesus Christ and His people.
