In Ephesians 1, the apostle Paul encourages believers to praise, honor, and glorify God. And in this series, we discover God’s own glorious character and the display of His matchless grace to redeem sinners through His Son, Jesus Christ.

On today's broadcast, we consider how the Old Testament sacrifices anticipated Jesus Christ, the spotless Lamb of God, who gave His life as a ransom for many. In His shed blood we find true redemption, complete forgiveness, and an inexhaustible supply of grace.

Today we examine a subject that touches every part of the Christian life—the mind. The Bible teaches that God's plan of redemption does more than forgive our sins. In Christ, God also gives us His wisdom—opening our minds to understand His will, His purposes, and the meaning of life itself.

The Bible explains the unbeliever's mind as debased, hardened, blinded, and deluded. However, through salvation in Jesus Christ, God initiates a radical transformation in how we think. Today we discover from Scripture how we as Christians are called to be renewed in the spirit of our minds, to set our minds on things above, and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Today we examine God's great eternal plan—a mystery that could never be discovered through human reasoning but has now been revealed through Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches this plan isn't directed by human efforts—it's directed by God Himself.

In Ephesians 1, we consider that our Lord Jesus Christ is the goal of everything—the Lord of everything and the restorer of everything in heaven and on earth. Our teacher will show us how this stunning reality gives us comfort in trials, encouragement in difficulties, and a clear calling to align our lives with what God is accomplishing in the world.

Through our adoption into God's family, we as Christians have become joint heirs with Jesus Christ Himself, sharing in everything that belongs by right to God's eternal Son. The Bible teaches this isn't a fictional reality or simply a spiritual metaphor—God has legally adopted believers and granted them an inheritance that includes spiritual salvation and eternal life, the kingdom of God spanning the millennial reign and the new heavens and new earth, and ultimately everything in the universe.

Today we consider how we as Christians don't just inherit salvation or the kingdom—we inherit God Himself. Yet many Christians live in uncertainty, wondering if this inheritance could slip away through changed circumstances, poor decisions, or personal failure. The Bible teaches that understanding your inheritance is so crucial that Paul prayed believers would grasp its riches.
