Everything about the Christian faith rests on one, single historical event: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without the resurrection, there is no Christianity—that’s how important this one event is. If there is no resurrection, then all of Christianity and the Bible is a sham. But in God’s providence, all four gospels reveal the details about the resurrection, and the rest of the New Testament explains what this doctrine means. But, as Christians, we must not only embrace the reality of the resurrection, but its implications must manifest themselves in the way we live life and how we conduct ourselves in the local church.
